When one pays for the Sultan’s Suite in Istanbul, one gets to experience a piece of history. Built in the 1500s, the suite is located in the palace which was once home to the Ottoman royalty. The entire palace was rebuilt in the 1800s and the original wood was then replaced with marble. Although most of the infrastructure has been maintained to its original theme, there has been an addition of modern amenities to facilitate modern occupants. Some of the facilities of the palatial suite include a heated swimming pool, a boat, excellent buffet, and helicopter service etc. The butler service has also been known to be exemplary.
