7. De Vrouwe van Stavoren, Netherlands
Netherlands is home to many wacky hotels and the Hotel de Vrouwe van Stavoren is one of them. It is basically a hotel in a wine barrel. There are four wine barrel rooms at the hotel accommodating two beds each; those wine barrels were originally created by the Swiss to store over 14,500 liters of wine. Occupants in each room can enjoy the facilities of a television, radio, shower and bathroom and must pay anywhere in between $50 to $150 for a night’s stay; the prices can vary on the season.
