The Jumbo Hostel in Stockholm is located inside a decommissioned 747-200 jetliner. The airliner was originally built for Singapore Airlines. Later, after being sold and re-sold, it found its owner in Transjet which went bankrupt in 2002. Since then, the jetliner has been stationed in Arlanda and it went through a major makeover in 2008. Currently, the Jumbo Hostel has 27 rooms and houses around 79 beds. There is a flat screen TV and Wi-Fi on every room. Unlike other rooms, the special “cockpit suite” has its own shower and toilet. Guests and non-guests can replenish their energy levels and fill their hungry stomachs at the Jumbo Hostel café.
